What To Do With Wedding Photos

As you’re booking a Jackson Hole wedding photographer, you’ll be caught up in all these beautiful moments—but what happens after? You’ll get hundreds of photos from your photographer. Luckily, there are tons of options for printing and preserving your memories! Let me share some of my favorite ideas for what to do with wedding photos.

Create a Wedding Album

Congratulations, newlyweds! Now it’s time to create your wedding album. We’ll start by choosing your absolute favorite photos from your entire wedding experience. I’d recommend mixing candid shots with posed ones for a perfect balance. Websites like Shutterfly and Canva, in addition to your photographer’s photo hosting site, make it super easy to create personalized albums that feel like you.

Print and Display Your Memories

Nothing beats the old-school charm of printed photos. Think about it: flipping through an album beats scrolling any day! Besides printing your wedding album, I really love when couples take the time to print photos for hanging up at home (or at work). Displaying a portrait of your wedding day will provide a daily reminder of your love and commitment to each other.

Download All Your Photos on a Hard Drive for Safe Keeping

Next, something that many couples don’t consider is downloading all your wedding photos onto an external hard drive. If you do, it’ll ensure that even when your laptop decides to take an unscheduled dip in the pool, your memories are backed up. I would recommend that every couple do this as soon as they get access to their wedding photos, just for safekeeping.

Share Them on Social Media

And of course, you’ve got to spam social media! Pick your most Insta-worthy shots and start posting. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook are great for sharing, but consider a shared Google Photos album for grandma and grandpa. It can be nice to find it all in one place.

Submit Them to a Magazine

Finally, did you know that you can also submit your wedding photos to a magazine? Bridal magazines like Bridal Musings and Zola often feature real weddings. This not only gives you bragging rights, but also inspires future brides-to-be. Who knows, your wedding might just set the next trend in wedding decor or cake design!
