The Grand Tetons has countless locations to provide stunning backdrops for wedding photos and elopements. And although Ryan and Jordyn didn’t necessarily have a Mormon Row elopement ceremony, their elopement photos at Mormon Row were some of my favorites! Get to know this amazing couple, how they incorporated meaningful details into their day, and view their stunning gallery for inspiration!

About Ryan & Jordyn
Ryan and Jordyn’s love story is one of deep connection and meaningful traditions. Hailing from the South, Jordyn is an intensive care nurse, and Ryan owns a mobile welding and fabrication business. Their love for quiet nights in, good food, and their chocolate labradoodle, Cali, is what truly defines their relationship. When Ryan proposed at the very spot where they had their first date, complete with her favorite flowers, twinkle lights, and their loved ones, it was a testament to how much they cherish their family and shared memories. It was only fitting that their elopement in the Tetons was just as intentional and heartfelt!

Preparing for the Big Day in Teton Village
Ryan and Jordyn chose to stay in Teton Village, just outside Grand Teton National Park. They booked cozy Airbnbs that accommodated both of their families and made for the perfect location to get ready in. I would definitely recommend this lodging again for those who are wanting to get ready with family or friends. It was super comfortable for Jordyn, her mom and grandmother to get ready together in. Plus, there was even space for her grandmother to decorate their wedding cake!
Every detail of the day held sentimental value, which you know I love as a Jackson Hole photographer. Jordyn’s engagement ring featured a diamond from the ring her late father gave to her mother. While Jordyn resized her father’s wedding band to give to Ryan as his wedding band. She also carried a photo of her dad on her bouquet, a detail that led to a touching moment with her aunt after the ceremony.
Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the wildlife seen! Adding to the magic of the morning, a mama moose and her baby roamed near their cabin. It was an unforgettable sight that made the day even more special!

A Private First Look in the Tetons
Before heading to their ceremony, Jordyn and Ryan shared a private first look under a tree in the park. This is another way to add sentiment to an elopement that I love. These moments are always so intimate and meaningful. Being away from the crowd can help couples feel comfortable and vulnerable in the best way. Plus it’s more time to soak in the beauty of the mountains and the specialness of the day!

A Ceremony Blessed by Nature
Just as their ceremony concluded, a quick thunderstorm rolled in! A lot of the time we worry when we see rain in the forecast, but in the Tetons it can be the best thing to happen on your elopement day! After 10minutes of hanging out in the truck the storm rolled past and there was a breathtaking rainbow! This was symbolic for the couple and was kind of a “wink” from heaven from Jordyn’s dad.

Sunset Magic at Mormon Row
After their ceremony and family photos, we finally made our way to Mormon Row! One of the most iconic locations in the Tetons for elopement portraits by far. The historic barns, open plains, and mountain views create a timeless and romantic setting for photos.
During golden hour, the sky opened up to reveal beautiful blue hues with warm sunset lighting, perfectly illuminating Ryan and Jordyn. The contrast of the rustic barns with the grandeur of the Tetons made for some of my favorite images ever!
