Pros & Cons of Glacier View Turnout

Glacier View Turnout is an elopement location in the Tetons that is up and coming! More couples have been inquiring about this spot than ever before. But before you decide to tie the knot here, there are some pros and cons to consider. Let’s dive in!

Pros

The greatest perk of Glacier View Turnout is the view of the Grand Tetons. There is a valley that stands between you and the mountain range with no foothills, so you have a clear view! In addition to the peaks and glaciers, there is conifer and cottonwood trees along the valley that line the Snake River that is among the sagebrush flats.

This elopement location allows up to 25 guests and is very accessible, even for wheelchairs. It has a sidewalk that allows a smooth transition from the parking lot to the site.

Cons

If you are looking for a more intimate elopement, then Glacier View Turnout is not for you. Being so easy to access and right off the highway makes this location a hot spot for tourists no matter the season. This is why I do not recommend this location for ceremonies, first looks, and any other sacred moments for the bride and groom during their wedding.

Although this location isn’t ideal for ceremonies, it is still a stunning shot of the Tetons and works great for wedding photos! And if you aren’t able to make it here for photos, don’t worry. There are other locations that look similar but are more private!
