Jackson Hole Winter Wedding

As a Jackson Hole wedding photographer I have noticed that winter weddings are not the most popular. And I can understand why, it is cold and there tends to be a lot of snow. However, there is something magical about being surrounded by a celestial coat of snow as you say your vows and walk into this new stage of life together! Kate and Cody’s Jackson Hole winter wedding was elegant and timeless in every way. I can’t wait to share more!

Kate & Cody

I love getting to know my couples and the love story that brought them together. Kate and Cody actually met in junior high, but never really hung out. Then after years of adulthood they reconnected at bar through mutual friends and immediately hit it off! After dating for some time the two decided to have an intimate elopement with just the two of them.

Kate and Cody chose to have a Jackson Hole winter wedding because of the scenery of the Tetons during the snowy winter months. And I have to admit, it is a really stunning time of year in the mountains! So I was thrilled to help them plan and capture their big day. We had just 6 weeks to plan their wedding day, and everything turned out beautifully!

Jackson Hole Winter Wedding Ceremony

Ceremony locations can be more limited into of Grand Teton National Park. However, Kate and Cody were excited about saying their vows at Taggart Lake Trail Head. I love this location in every season, but there is something special about it in the winter months. Covered in snow with the Tetons peeking out through the clouds in the distance. It was a beautiful backdrop for Kate and Cody’s ceremony, which was filled with so much love and excitement!

Winter Wedding Photography

After their ceremony strong winds and thick clouds began to roll in, so we ended up moving our photo locations to the thick pine trees at the north of Grand Teton National Park. This was the perfect location because the large pines blocked the frigid winds. In addition, the lighting was amazing as it filtered through the clouds and trees into a warm glow. Everything about this spot played out so perfectly for Kate and Cody!

Grand Teton National Park Wedding Tour

Something I love about my sessions as a Jackson Hole wedding photographer is getting to show off the Tetons! A lot of my clients will mention how much fun it is to get a tour on their wedding day as we move from one location to another within the park. I worked in Jackson Hole while in college, and have been visiting the park my entire life. So I have a lot of knowledge and fun facts to share as we tour different locations.

Jackson Hole Winter Wedding Album

Providing my couples with wedding albums is such a treasure. Kate and Cody decided on a wedding album to remember their big day. As well as to share the special moments of the wedding with family when they got home. Since we were able to capture their getting ready photos and a first look in addition to their ceremony and formal photos, their album shares the entire timeline of their wedding day. There wont be a moment missed as they reflect back on their wedding day for years to come.
