The Wedding Tree Jackson Hole | Steven & Hilary

Jackson Hole is filled with breathtaking elopement locations, but The Wedding Tree stands out as one of the most picturesque and intimate spots. With sweeping views of the Grand Tetons framed perfectly between its branches, it’s an ideal location for exchanging vows! Steven and Hilary chose this hidden gem for their special day, creating an unforgettable experience surrounded by stunning scenery and their closest loved ones.

About Steven & Hilary

Steven and Hilary met at work as they were both employed at the same hospital. Hilary is a medical laboratory scientist, while Stephen works as an emergency room RN. Once they finally met their shared love for the outdoors connect them, and their relationship grew from there! Years before their engagement, they visited the Tetons and instantly fell in love with the landscape. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew there was no better place to say “I do.” And as a Jackson Hole photographer, I couldn’t agree more!

Grand Teton Unexpected Adventures

Like many elopements, the day started with a bit of unexpected excitement. Hilary’s dress, beautiful and elegant, was missing a critical clasp! Cue the stress! Luckily, I always carry a sewing kit in my camera bag—except this time, I had accidentally left it at my last bride’s hotel suite. Determined to fix the problem, I set off on a mission! The nearby grocery store didn’t have one, but a friendly hotel front desk agent saved the day, providing a sewing kit from one of their rooms. With just a little delay, we sewed Hilary into her dress, and she was absolutely radiant.

First Look & Portraits in the Tetons

With the dress crisis averted, Steven and Hilary shared a private first look at the base of the Tetons, surrounded by nothing but towering trees and the soft chirping birds. It was a quiet, heartfelt moment before their ceremony, giving them time to soak in the significance of the day.

Afterward, we explored the nearby lake for portraits, capturing their love against the stunning backdrop of crystal-clear water and majestic peaks. The golden sunlight added a dreamy glow to their photos, making each moment feel even more magical!

A Heartfelt Ceremony at The Wedding Tree

At The Wedding Tree, their closest family members gathered to witness their vows. Hilary’s son had the honor of walking her down the aisle, making the moment even more special. The ceremony was filled with sweet words, laughter, and joyful tears, all set against the breathtaking view of the Tetons. My favorite thing about this ceremony location is how the Wedding Tree creates a perfect frame for intimate celebrations, this spot feels like it was meant to be a sacred place for many.

Why The Wedding Tree Jackson Hole?

For my couples looking for a secluded yet breathtaking wedding location, The Wedding Tree is an incredible choice! Here’s why:

Minimal permits required: Unlike other park locations, The Wedding Tree is on Bridger-Teton National Forest land, meaning the permit process is straightforward. In addition, this also means it is a dog friendly ceremony location!

Natural beauty: The panoramic Teton views are unmatched, making it a dream for wedding photography! I also love how the trees frame the mountains and your ceremony.

Ease of access: While offering a secluded feel, The Wedding Tree is a short and easy hike from the parking area, making it accessible for you and your guests!

Versatile seasonal beauty: Whether in the lush greens of summer, the golden hues of fall, or the snow-draped serenity of winter. The Wedding Tree is gorgeous all year round!
