Before anything else, book your photographer. I recommend someone that is not only experienced in elopement photography, but also who is very experienced with Moab. Many, like myself, offer invaluable planning assistance with every elopement package. We know the landscape, weather patterns and so much more! Making your elopement easy.

Your Vision

Next, decide how you want your big day to look. An intimate ceremony and beautiful photos are a given. But what else are you wanting? Consider vendors like florists as well as hair and makeup. Who do envision there with you? Think about grandparents and close friends. How do you want to celebrate this big milestone of marriage? Possibly reserve a nearby eatery for an intimate dinner at the end of the day. This is you elopement, make it fun!

Moab Elopement Checklist Planning Session

Something I do for all my couples is a planning session. This gives us time to discuss locations, timelines, and any details that are meaningful to you. As a Moab elopement photographer I am all about capturing the essence of your big day. However, my job is more than that. I want to help you outline and plan your day so you know exactly what you are looking towards and have a stress free elopement!

Ceremony Permit

A non negotiable for a Moab elopement is your ceremony permit. This is something you need to acquire through the National Park and is very specific for location, date and time. Do not get this before our planning session! If you do, you may have to amend it to a different time depending on the timeline we create in your planning session.

Your Moab Elopement Officiant

Another technicality of your elopement, but without it you won’t be able to get married. I have a list of local wedding officiants to choose from if needed, or you can have a friend of family member get ordained to marry you. In addition, you will need witnesses and your marriage license. Of course, I help with this as well! I have all the information needed to get you legally married that I share once you book your elopement with me!

Vendors

Lastly, book your vendor team! This will look different for every couple, depending on your buget and priorities. The most common ones that I see as a Moab elopement photographer are hair and makeup, florals, and bakers for a cake. I have a full vendor list so you can easily find everything you need!
