Deciding to have a Grand Teton wedding is so exciting! And planning to have an elopement is even more fun. Although you will not have as many wedding details to plan with an elopement, you will still need to have a wedding day emergency kit. This kit may look a little different than a traditional wedding’s emergency kit, but it will be just as important!
First Aid
The most important part of your emergency kit will be basic first aid. Chances are you won’t need it. It is a rare occurrence that my couples do. However, it is still necessary to bring just in case. Consider packing the following:
Bandages
Antiseptic wipes
Neosporen
Blister pads or moleskin for preventing and treating blisters
Pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen
Antihistamines for allergic reactions or insect bites
Tweezers
Repellant
Having an adventurous elopement in the Grand Tetons means you just might come face-to-face with a bit of wildlife! This is a massive perk to eloping in a National Park, as long as we stay safe during potential encounters. I recommend bringing bear spray, as well as insect repellant, to keep you safe and comfortable.
Freshen Up
As we hike around the National Park, you are bound to need a bit of freshening up! So this portion of your wedding day emergency kit may be the largest. Remember to add any other items that you may want to feel fresh and comfortable, but this is a great place to start!
Deodorant
Wet wipes
Hand sanitizer
Mints
Makeup to reapply
Hair care products
Bobby pins
Lip balm
Sunscreen
Extra socks
