Elopement Party | How To Celebrate When You Elope

As a Jackson Hole wedding photographer I have been able to witness some amazing elopements! And contrary to popular beliefs, eloping does not mean that you are getting married last minute or doing it without your family and friends. Since eloping has become so popular in the last few years, I have come to realize that you can elope any way you want! And that includes an elopement party.

When it comes to eloping, you can “have your cake and eat it too”! What I mean by this is that you can have that beautifully intimate wedding ceremony, as well as an elopement party. I have seen this done time and time again as a Jackson Hole elopement photographer. And let me tell you, it is the best way to elope!

Getting Ready

Your elopement deserves to be captured from start to finish! This includes your getting ready with your closest family and friends. As a Jackson Hole elopement photographer I always encourage brides capturing these tender moments. These are memories that you never want to lose. The picture of your mom zipping up your wedding dress, your best friend fixing your makeup, and the many laughs that you are sure to have! These are all precious moments that deserve to be documented and looked back on for years to come.

Invite Family & Friends

A large part of why many couples decide to elope is for the intimate setting that promotes a romantic and tender atmosphere. However, when planning your elopement, you should totally invite your friends and family! When you have your closest people there to witness your wedding day, you are sharing a once in a lifetime experience with them. This will become a memory that you will share for a lifetime!

Celebrate With Traditions

Keeping family and cultural traditions should be a part of your big day, especially if you elope! It is the most timeless way to incorporate who you are and your story. I have seen so many unique wedding traditions incorporated into elopements, and each one adds a one of a kind experience to the wedding day.

In addition, you should include classic wedding traditions like toasts from your guests. Just because you are eloping, it doesn’t mean that you need to go without a true elopement party toasts. Have your favorite people share memories and good wishes during a dinner after your ceremony! And while you are at it, have a cake cutting after dinner!

Destination Locations

Make the most of your elopement and choose a destination location. As a Jackson Hole wedding photographer I will always recommend a national park! National Parks are beyond beautiful and are filled with the wonders of nature, making it the perfect backdrop for your elopement party. And after your elopement you can hop right into your honeymoon with some epic adventures!

In addition, when you are married at a national park you will have wedding photos that are beyond stunning! Every image will have beautiful landscapes, especially if you decide on a Jackson Hole Elopement. The Grand Tetons in the background, the thick forests and open fields are seriously dreamy in ever season of the year! Making it a wonderful place to plan your elopement party.

You have the freedom to do exactly what you want to when it comes to eloping! Make your elopement unique and spend the day how you want to, rather than trying to stick with a stereotype. And when you have an elopement session with me, you get so much more than a photographer! You get a friend who will guide you through creating the best day of your life. Reach out and let’s chat about how we can capture your elopement!
