This Cache Valley Utah backyard wedding was such a delight! From the dreamy wood stair case to the lush forest backdrop. Everything was absolutely perfect for Sheri and Brendan’s big day! I am excited to share with you this beautiful wedding, as well as this awesome couple that I love so dearly.
Sheri & Brendan
I have many connections with Sheri Winn. My dad worked for her dad as he got his start in home remodeling, attended the same high school (go Bobcats!). Then we both were fooled by the same drifter boy in college whom we both dated. Sheri dated him first and when her dad found out that I was dating him a year later he called my dad to let him know what a mistake that was…haha… Long story short, my dad didn’t tell me until long after the relationship had ended. He told me that he knew I would make a smart decision when it came to marriage and wanted me to figure things out on my own (what a wise father). Both sheri and I learned life lessons from the same failed relationship. Isn’t that crazy?
If that wasn’t enough coincidences for one life time, Sheri met her husband Brendan on a blind date (my marriage was a blind date success as well). They both attended Utah State University, and had a mutual friend that neither of them knew very well. This friend decided to set them up. In the end, Sheri and Brendan are both relieved that they decided to be brave enough to take this friend up on the offer. Because ever since their first date the two have been inseparable. Brendan popped the question on a favorite hike up the canyon. And Sheri was thrilled to say yes! You can tell by Sheri’s smile that these two are completely in love!
The two were married in Sheri’s backyard of the house she grew up in. Behind the home there is a quaint little trail down the hillside that leads to a grass paved landing. A stream runs through the trees adding to the peaceful, yet magical place to their Cache Valley Utah Backyard Wedding. This was the perfect place for Sheri to walk down the aisle.
The beautiful backyard was decorated with antique furniture displaying photos of the couple, the cutest vanity with a sequin runner held their cake. It looked like a little girls dream come true! Their reception was a fun party celebrating their union. Fresh popcorn and Aggie ice cream was served to the guests along with a beautiful spread of warm cookies and cold lemonade. Games were placed on the lawn for added fun.
The evening ended with a dance party! We all crammed into the gazebo and cranked up the music and you probably know by now that I was grooving to the tunes as well. My favorite was seeing Sheri’s adorable niece and nephew romantically slow dance to every song!
Brendan and Sheri, your wedding was perfect and I felt honored to serve you on your special day! Your love story is so sweet and I wish you two the very best in this new life you are creating together.
