If you are dreaming of a romantic, intimate wedding surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, then a Schwabacher Landing Elopement in Grand Teton National Park is the perfect for you! With its serene environment, towering peaks, and abundant wildlife, this spot offers a magical backdrop for your big day!

Abigail & Blake
Before I jump into why you want to have a Schwabacher Landing elopement, I have to tell you about my couple! Abigail and Blake’s journey to Schwabacher Landing started long before their wedding day. Abigail, originally from Florida, and Blake, from South Carolina, met through their careers in law enforcement. A chance introduction through a mutual friend led to Blake playfully engaging with Abigail’s social media. This lasted for a year before he finally asked her out on a dog-friendly date!
Their love for the outdoors and a past road trip that took Abigail through Grand Teton National Park inspired their choice to elope in the Tetons. And when they described their ideal day to me I knew the perfect location would be Schwabacher. It’s a favorite among couples who want a quiet and scenic elopement experience. The soft sounds of the river, the rustling trees, and the intimacy there makes it such a beautiful experience.

Getting Ready
Abigail and Blake’s wedding day was nothing short of magical! They stayed and got ready at Snow King Resort, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The morning was filled with tender moments, including Blake helping their baby boy, Grayson, get ready. Feeding him a bottle, dressing him, and playing peek-a-boo with the bride and family were all memorable candid moments!

Another really beautiful moment was when Abigail was with her sister and best friend while getting ready. They helped her into her dress and were just so excited for her! The feeling of sisterhood was so immense, which comes when you and your bridesmaids are so close. I’m so grateful I was able to capture their bond!

First Look
After getting ready they were off to have a private first look! In addition to the excitement and emotion of a first look itself, Abigail shared a truly tender detail she had in her gown. She revealed a special patch sewn into her dress reading “He is my something blue,” featuring Blake’s badge number as a tribute to his service as a police officer. It was a heartfelt moment that made the day even more meaningful.

Adding meaningful touches like this are what makes your wedding YOURS! I love to brainstorm with my couples and support them in adding these details into their day. Another beautiful touch to the day was how Abigail wrapped her bouquet in her grandmother’s antique lace and included her grandfathers crucifix. These are just a few examples of how you can bring your personal story into your elopement photos and add more meaning to the experience.

Schwabacher Landing Elopement Ceremony
As they arrived at Schwabacher Landing for their ceremony, nature itself seemed to bless the occasion with a little bit of wildlife. A moose made an appearance! This is something I love about having elopements in the Grand Tetons. It’s always fun to run into wildlife, and it makes for the best stories from your wedding day!

Without any music, just the sounds of the water and birds, the couple exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones, and with baby Grayson clapping in celebration while playing in her mom’s dress. This was perfect for Abigail and Blake as they wanted to focus on intimate and quiet moments during their day. They chose to be present in the moment, soaking in their love and family with no distractions.

Tips For Babies At Elopements
If you’re considering an elopement with your baby, there are a few things to keep in mind to make your day special and less stressful! Including your child(ren) in your ceremony can be a deeply meaningful experience, and I highly recommend it! To help, consider inviting a few family members to help ensure you child(ren) is taken care of. This way you still get plenty of intimate moments as a couple, and your kiddo(s) is having fun with the family!
In addition, work with a photographer who knows the area well. This can relieve stress and help with planning, especially if you have kid(s) tagging along! As a Jackson Hole photographer I know plenty of spots that are kid friendly, and can even recommend some spots in town.

If you’re ready to plan your dream elopement at Schwabacher Landing, let’s chat! I’d love to help bring your vision to life in this stunning location.
