Amangani Resort Jackson Hole | Maddie & Sunil

As a Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I’m always excited to be invited to capture memories for a beautiful couple! Maddie and Sunil chose the Amangani Resort Jackson Hole as their “meeting in the middle” elopement for family living on both sides of the US. And what a romantic event it was!

About Maddie and Sunil

Maddie and Sunil met in Omaha, NE while she was in medical school and he was in fellowship. Since they met, they’ve been long distance for two separate (and long) periods! His family is from LA and hers is living in South Dakota. When asked why they picked the Tetons for this special moment, she said, “The scenery! And the opportunity to have an adventure trip for the whole family that we wouldn’t usually think to do.”

Luckily, their small group of close family and friends were able to meet them for this luxurious sight-seeing trip/elopement in Jackson Hole. The morning of the ceremony, Maddie’s mom and soon-to-be mother-in-law gave her a few special pieces of jewelry. We captured Sunil’s final touches of getting ready and headed to the hotel patio.

Amangani Resort Jackson Hole

It’s said that Amangani Resort is one of the most incredible venues in Jackson Hole. From the view on the hill, you get the stunning vistas of the mountains, but inside is a whole other story. Amagani is serene and modern, with most of the rooms are done up simply in natural materials.

There are 40 suites with fireplaces, balconies, and huge tubs, which make it a great launchspot for a honeymoon or family getaway. After the ceremony, Sunil and Maddie’s family enjoyed some cocktails on the outdoor patio and ate at one of the restaurants in the resort. The food was incredible as always!

Rainy Details from the Wedding

Admittedly, the weather changed our original plan for their Amangani Resort Jackson Hole wedding. But, with their small group and my availability to come a bit earlier, we were able to rearrange things a bit to find the breaks in the rain at the perfect time. The whole property is incredibly beautiful so capturing the in between moments made for artistic photographs.

We took wedding portraits on the hillside before their ceremony, and the rain gave us some beautiful clouds and ponds. Dad walked her in and the ceremony was quick, simple and sweet, exactly how they wanted it. To end the evening, Sunil, Maddie and I snuck away for a sunset photo session in the park.

I always love ending a wedding day with a photo of the couple walking into their new shared life together. Ready for your Amangani Resort Jackson Hole wedding? Let’s chat about how I can serve you best as your Jackson Hole elopement photographer.
